Bridge Simulator
đStairs on the Ground Floor
10.30 - 11.00
Bridge Simulator
There will be a demonstration for a group of up to 16 participants, who will be shown around the SIMAC bridge simulator. The bridge simulator was supplied by Wärtsilä in 2025.
The simulator can display and simulate the navigation of ships in and out of ports, locks, and similar environments. The simulator features realistic ports, which are recreated on the bridge monitors so that exercises take place as realistically as possible. The group will see a manoeuvre as it is presented in the simulator.
Instructor Mette Bennedsen will be responsible for the demonstration itself in the simulator room. The group will gather before the demonstration on the ground floor below the large staircase in the atrium, after which Carsten Bo Jensen will guide them to the simulator.
